Marianne progress

Tonight I cut open Marianne's neck steeks and knitted up the neckband. marianne_sleeveless.jpg

This was my first time doing a v-neck, and I'm rather pleased with the result.

I'm already a little tired of it, but will try to keep the momentum going and start a sleeve tomorrow. The pattern is very easy to memorize, so at least it makes good TV knitting, while being just interesting enough not to put me to sleep.

Linette, it's just gorgeous! You really zipped through it.

It looks really nice! I'd be interested in how you did the shaping of the V, to make the ribbing look so tidy. I tried various approaches on my two Bair Isle vests and was never quite satisfied.

That is what I would call expert knitting. Such a perfect v-neck, Linette. Hats off.

Thanks! I followed Ann Feitelson's directions for one of her v-neck vests, and it worked like a charm. Lately I find myself turning more and more to her instead of AS for technical FI guidance.

I think you can call that an unqualified success! In person I'll bet those colors just glow.

I'm sure you'll zip through the sleeves Linette!

Beeyoootiful!

That is just lovely. Great job on the neckline, it doesn't pull the body out of alignment at all. Congratulations!

Linette, Marianne is beautiful and you'd never be able to tell it was your first v-neck. I ruined several v-necks before figuring it out.

Wow, that is beautiful!

On my return to the 'land of the living', thought I better check what everyone's been up to whilst I've been away. WOW! How wonderful to drop in at Pink Tea and see all the beautiful work you folks have been doing.

Linette, Marianne is looking wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing her finished. You really are an inspiration. :o)
