Speaking of Pink

I mentioned on Fiber Traditions that I had a needlepoint WIP and Madame asked to see it, so here it is. It's called "Peony" and it's by Kaffe Fassett, purchased from Ehrman Tapestries.

Here's a close up. Is it pink or is it pink? No fancy stitching here, just coloring with yarn instead of crayons!

Oh, very pretty! Needlepoint is a calming art, I think, especially when it's continental stitch. There's something about finishing an area of one color that is very satisfying, and if you get bored with one color you can switch to a different one (quite unlike knitting!). Will this be a pillow when you are finished?

Well, to my eye, it actually looks rather, um, pink!

Beautiful work, Linette!

Very nice. Wish I had the patience to read needlepoint charts, especially when I see work like this.

Spike, I don't have that kind of patience either. With the kits that Ehrman sells, you get a canvas stamped in color with the design. It truly is lik a coloring book :-)
