Why I stopped blogging much
Mostly, I don't have much to say. I could turn this into a political blog (like Mama Liz Says used to be) but then it won't be a knitting blog anymore. I am considering bringing Mama Liz Says back, but not until I figure out why comments suck in MovableType. Maybe I will spend part of this long weekend moving to Wordpress.
My life is good. The basement is wet. I am knitting every day now. My husband loves me. My kid and her fiancee are coming to visit this evening. This is purely domestic news. I work at one of the least exciting but nicest jobs around. I am mentoring a gorgeous man. I am learning to write Swing, although I once swore that I would never work on another user interface.
Face it, I am becoming a domestic goddess. A goddess who is a slow knitter and isn't spinning at all right now (the wet basement). I can't even boast about the cute things my kid did - she is 19, cross the country from me, and would murder me in my sleep.
The tv is out for the next week as we continue to try and dry out the basement. It might be interesting to see how I deal without my beloved MSNBC.
I do like my gansey pattern, maybe I will talk more about it next time. I wish it would show up when I take pictures of it.

Glad to hear you're doing well! I hope the basement dries out and recovers soon... As for the blog, you know, speaking out isn't always all it's cracked up to be! I've got all sorts of feedback from one of my recent articles...maybe sometimes we're better off without the comment feature? (check the blog for some details..the hardest comments came by email or phone!)
