still knitting
Yep, even though I am not posting, I am knitting up a storm. Finished the girly-girl socks - they need photography and a few ends - then they get shipped to Bellevue Wa. I hope Pam enjoys them. I also am knitting a variation in black/white/gray that are very grown-up girl socks.
I bought myself a bunch of Elizabeth Lavold silky wool for my birthday. I love the feel of this yarn in my hand and I love the drapy swatches I am getting out of it. I was going to knit a true gansey, but thinking it over, it will be a raglan. This is because I don't need shoulder straps (already knit), my shoulders are plenty too wide as it is. I look like a longshoreman even when I am thin.
I should take pictures. But, that would mean that I would have to find the camera on this hell hole called my desk.
BTW, I am going to buy more of the silky wool. I really like this stuff.
