Red sweater

The red aran has been moved to the "maybe never knit" pile. I have ripped it out 3 times. Then I started again this morning on the back (it is a saddle shoulder from the top down). I didn't inspect the needle first - and it seems that somebody has been chewing on it. The stitches couldn't slide.

I have decided that this is just the goddess telling me that I really don't need a red aran in worsted weight - at least not until I lose 30 pounds (need to do this for blood pressure). So, I have picked up eris again (knit in barn red). I need to print it out again - I am simply not sure where all the printout is.

So, I am currently knitting
1 pr lavender socks (these are on the pink side of lavender - the last were on the turquoise side).
1 pr black/white socks (my purse knitting - doesn't get done much anymore)
1 acres of garter stitch shawl (car knitting)
1 black lace shawl (the shroud). This has made it off my desk and into a small knitting bag. I think I fixed up the problems yesterday at the christmas party. It won't ever win a prize for perfect lace knitting - but I still love it. I just should never have knit it on the metro. And the last row has been hellish - I did 2 repeats wrong and am fixing them up in this row.

I should do some knitting that proves that I am capable of knitting complicated without the above errors. It just isn't what I want to do right now. I am just not in my usual aran mood. There is also a turkish sock on the shelf that is up to half it's heel flap - I should finish that pair.

I need 2 more pairs of socks (minimum) before the February storms - so maybe my desire to knit simple socks is not so silly.
