Busy
I have been busy. Too busy to blog. Too busy to read blogs. The ride home (6 miles) is often taking over an hour. I don't have to drive, but it is dark out there. Usually I can knit on the acres of garter stitch shawl - but I discovered yesterday that the ribbon for the provisional caston fell out and I have to fix it before I knit it in the dark.
I have been knitting. It is one of the ways I am keeping busy. I am doing the gusset on the second purple sock. I am nearly half done on the second sleeve of the blue sweater (and I have already done the ends). Next on the list is the black and white socks and starting either a turkish or fair-isle sock. I am really considering using latvian mitten designs for socks. I might use them for mittens if I can't find the ones I already have. I always seem to lose my mittens during the year...and find them again halfway through winter.
My new hat is still lost. No idea where it is. It still needs to be felted. DAMN - that was a good (and expensive) hat. If I can get help, I will start tearing the yarn room apart to find it. It is definetly not where I put it.
I have not knit on the lace shawl in over a month. There are things I need more than a lace shawl. If I thought I could get it done in a week - I would knit on it (party coming up), but this isn't going to happen.
Learning all sorts of new things for work.
