Cat,sock and computer

knitliz.jpg

People don't believe me at work when I tell them I knit, work on the computer and watch the news at the same time. Well, here is a picture of me working on the flower garden socks. I have severe second sock syndrome on this sock - I unfortunately did not keep good notes. The second sock is just too damn small. I just finished the gusset (toe up sock). I am now considering whether I have to rip the whole thing out to the instep. I think it really needs to be a few stitches bigger - and the heel might need to be deeper.

Someday the sock will be finished. I have the thick socks going on at the same time in LynnH's yarn and morgen balled some more sock yarn for me (she has come home for two weeks). Robyn came over today and fit the blue sweater on me (I haven't worked on it in weeks - I needed somebody to fit me) and I have two more inches to go before I split it off. So, instead of knitting socks on #0 needles I am knitting a roughish mohair on #8 needles - which feel like broomsticks to me.

I will start knitting again, just as soon as I get off the computer.

We are changing my bipolar drugs. I think it will work just fine. It will be strange to be off of wellbutrin though, I have been on it for years. I got off a month ago, and had a month where I couldn't think. Thinking is back.

I am enjoying having morgan home. I would rather spend the time with her than staring at the computer right now.
