Rhinebeck, alas
I'm not going to Rhinebeck. My two partners in travel have graciously agreed not to go. Instead, we will have a lovely long weekend together.
I am sooooooo grateful that I wasn't pressed into going. I don't know if I am even going to be employed then. I have all the yarn I need, I don't even have anything knit (other than socks) that fits right now. I have a decent start on the blue mohair sweater - but it is not a sweater that will show off either my design skills or my knitting. It will be nice during the winter - I tend to not wear coats - I am pretty good about cold, awful about heat.
I don't mind not going at all. 3 days with my friends without having to drive actually seems like a lot more fun to me right now. Maybe I will finally finish the collar to Eris.
I ordered No Direction Home before I heard about my pink slip. I am going to watch it and knit this weekend. I am going to try and spin, but I have yet another thing wrong with me that might keep me from spinning. I don't spin if it is going to hurt me, I spin for the enjoyment and meditative value. I will be spinning again soon.
I am really looking forward to seeing Elka again. mg will not be at home that weekend, so it will definitly be a good food, good company, no guy weekend.
